Red lavradeira costume from Afife
Red lavradeira costume from Afife (one of the shoreline parish of Viana do Castelo). This is the simplest of all lavradeira costumes. Red woollen skirt with small black stripes. The apron also has stripes. Red vest without embroidery, side pocket and a linen shirt or blouse embroidered in white. An orange kerchief can be worn on the chest and a yellow one on the head.
The complete costume wears white lace stockings and black slippers.
