Lavradeira costume - blue or "dó"
This festivity costume, also called "lavradeira" costume, presents itself in a more sober tone, with dark colours. Sometimes called - "blue" (sorrow) costume.
In addition to the black colour, lilac or purple, green and yellow stand out in this outfit.
Garments: linen shirt embroidered in blue cotton thread, embroidered waistcoat, woollen skirt with vertical strips and apron with lilies and marigold flowers (both woven in traditional loom) and side pocket called “algibeira”.
The complete costume wears white lace stockings and black slippers. In the head and chest wears woollen kerchief.
